Building a strong school community
Tockington Manor is more than a school. We are a family. Made up of a group of people including staff, parents, children, alumni, volunteers, and quite a lot of wildlife.
We are a school built on traditions and family values. Our parents and children enjoy the annual Carol Service at Christmas time and Prize Giving in the rose garden marquee at the height of summer; we take pride in supporting a chosen charity every year to raise funds for and opening our school to the community; we enjoy seeing friendships bloom both in and outside of our school grounds as parents become friends and alumni become parents; healthy rivalry develops on the sports fields and fond memories of time spent at Tockington remain long after Leavers ties are dished out.

Keeping track of Tockington – for parents, staff and alumni
The Tockington Tracker is our weekly e-newsletter. It provides a useful insight for parents to see what we get up to on a weekly basis and how we celebrate success. These digital magazines are emailed to parents each week. Prospective new parents may like to ask for a link to the latest one when they come to visit us.
The Tockingtonian is an annual review of the school and all its many activities which is sent to all our families and the former pupils who have requested to receive it. Our Year 8 leavers receive a hard copy of the book to keep as a memento of their final year with Tockington Manor School.
We are very pleased to share our most recent Tockingtonian magazine below. Please click here to view our special 75th anniversary edition.
Tockington Manor School in the Community
We are a proud member and supporter of the community we live in. We are active participants in our local parish council and get involved in events in and around our local villages. We were thrilled to be able to sponsor the Olveston pantomime in 2024 (oh no we didn’t…!), and even had a special mention in The Princess, the Pirates and the Prunes. We support local sport by sponsoring North Bristol Rugby Club, Thornbury Cricket Club and Oldbury Cricket Club and have been involved in partnerships with the Bristol Hippodrome and Bristol Zoo Project. We are a regular sponsor of the annual Almondsbury Gymkhana and in 2025 extended our equestrian association with a sponsorship of the Berkeley Races. Our various facilities are used regularly by groups and clubs in and around the area.
