Parent Meetings & Reports

Being a small school we aim to maintain close relationships with all our parents. We are very happy to talk with parents at any point during a term and you are welcome to visit the school and meet the teachers. If, however, there is a specific issue you wish to discuss, it is best to email in advance and arrange a convenient time.

Pre-Prep

Parents’ meetings for the Pre-Prep or Lower School are held in the Spring and Autumn terms, Reports are sent home twice a year for children in Reception to Year 2, at the end of the Autumn and Summer terms. Every half term parents of Pre-Prep children also receive a progress update on how well their children have done in learning the class content.

Prep

Parents’ meetings for the Prep or Upper School are held in the Spring and Autumn. Reports are sent home twice a year for Year 3 – 8. Every half term they also receive effort and attainment marks – a percentage score on how well they are doing in the different subjects – allowing us to monitor their learning progress and adjust the education and support they receive accordingly.

In addition to formal feedback from the school on children’s progress, parents receive a weekly newsletter, The Tockington tracker, which gives them insight into what the children in each year group have been learning, both in and outside of the classrooms! We also have a healthy social media presence with video and photographs shared regularly to showcase all the wonderful activities and learning happening at the school.
