ISI Inspection Reports for Tockington Manor School and Nursery

In March 2026, the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) conducted a Routine Inspection at Tockington Manor School. The ISI, which is overseen by the Department for Education (DfE), inspects schools against the Independent School Standards. Under this new reporting framework, schools no longer receive gradings (eg. excellent or good); the ISI simply looks at specific areas of the school and judges them to have met or not met the Standards they are inspected against.

All Standards Met at Tockington Manor School and Nursery

We are delighted to share that Tockington Manor School and Nursery met all of the standards required in all areas. This includes:

  • Leadership and management, and governance
  • Quality of education, training and recreation
  • Pupils’ physical and mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • Pupils’ social and economic education and contribution to society
  • Safeguarding

Inspection Methods

The team of three inspectors spent two and a half days observing lessons, talking to pupils and examining their work. They also held discussions with staff and governors, observed extra-curricular activities and attended assemblies. Questionnaires completed by staff, parents and pupils from both the school and nursery were also taken into consideration.

“Leaders create a caring environment which encourages pupils to be relaxed and happy.”
