ISI Inspection Reports for Tockington Manor School and Nursery
In January 2023, we received a renewed stamp of approval from the Independent Schools Inspectorate following a Regulatory Compliance Inspection. The ISI judged both the school and nursery to have met the standards required. The ISI Inspectors report on the school’s compliance with the Independent School Standards Regulations and, in TMS’ case, the Early Years Foundation Stage. All schools are required to meet the standards applicable to them.
Commended on quality of Education and Leadership
Tockington Manor School and Nursery was commended on the quality of education provided, the health, safety and welfare of pupils, and the quality of leadership and management of the school, among other criteria.
“The teaching enables pupils to make good progress, encompasses effective behaviour management and is supported by suitable resources.”
Inspection Methods
The team of inspectors spent two days observing lessons, talking to pupils and examining their work. They also held discussions with staff and governors, observed extra-curricular activities and attended assemblies. Questionnaires completed by staff, parents and pupils from both the school and nursery were also taken into consideration.
Building on previous reports
This latest report builds on the positive outcomes of a more comprehensive inspection at the School and Nursery in 2018. Highlights from the ISI’s Educational Quality Inspection Report can be found below, along with the full report itself.
