Parents at Tockington Manor School
The Tockington Family
We are much more than just a School and Nursery for your children. We are a community where whole families come together, where friendships are forged and memorable experiences are enjoyed. Being a small school, we are able to really get to know the families of all of our children, and they each other.
Sporting Fixtures
With parents often attending the odd sporting fixture, they become social events in their own right. New parents at the school who attend one of our Monday or Wednesday afternoon fixtures will quickly understand why our Match Teas are legendary…!
Formal Events
There are two formal events in the school year. These are the Christmas Service, which is held at St Mary’s Church, and Speech Day at the end of the School Year. Speech day is always held on the last day of the Summer Term and it is compulsory for pupils from Reception to Year 8 to attend. It is a formal event with most parents dressing for the occasion in lounge suits and cocktail dresses, some with hats and fascinators.
Get Involved
We are extremely lucky to have a strong group of ‘Friends’ (Friends of Tockington Manor) who organise fantastic fundraising events such as Bonfire Night, the Christmas Fair, the May Ball, and the Family Fun Day. Click below to find out how you can get involved with our FOTM.
